Personal Statement

The most rewarding part of taking care of children with kidney disorders is being able to work in the field I love while advocating for and working closely with patients. Many of these conditions are lifelong diagnoses and it allows me to partner with the patients and their families so they can receive the best care possible.

Biographical Info

Dr. Liu is an Assistant Professor of Clinical Pediatrics in the Division of Pediatric Nephrology at ÈÕ±¾avÉ«ÇéƬ, and an Assistant Attending Pediatrician at New York-Presbyterian Phyllis and David Komansky Children's Hospital. Dr. Liu attended medical school at Drexel University College of Medicine in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She completed her Pediatrics Residency and Pediatric Nephrology Fellowship at the Children’s Hospital at Montefiore/Albert Einstein College of Medicine. During her fellowship training, she earned a Master of Science in Clinical Research Methods at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine. Dr. Liu’s research is related to the epidemiology of pediatric end-stage renal disease and acute kidney injury.
